[It's the Blue Light, and Edmund is at the bar, one elbow on it, chin in hand. He's grown, today - thank you, full moon - and it's vaguely empty, still - it's late, and a Monday.]
I figure I ought to get out of this rut and actually do something. We lost a waitress and I need someone who actually knows alcohol, as well.
Does anyone need a job?
[ooc: if you want to meet Ed in the Blue Light, action is welcome!]

[He pushes a glass of water her way]
Drink.

Where'm I?

[He's scowling]
Honestly, what happened?

[She rubs her eyes, sipping the water and shaking her head as she tries to wake herself up.]
I've been awake awhile.

[Siroc is, if worse comes to worse.]
How long is a awhile?

[Another yawn.]
A day or two? Closer to two, I think. No, it was...a few days, and then I had a nap, and then I was up again. So it's been a while, I think.

[He pulls her into his arms which are larger, now.]
Care to tell me why you've been marathoning as though you were at war?

'S a message on the Network. A few...days ago. Cain was kidnapped and I was out looking. ...For him. Mmmnwe found him a little while ago.

[He pulls her out, carrying her outside.]
You should have called me.

[Zero resistance on her part.]
I thought you were still at the house.

[He takes her to the makeshift barn where Siroc is relaxing]
I have to saddle him. We can ride double.
no subject
[Never mind that she is kind of wobbling as she says this.]
M'fine.
no subject
[No. He sets her down and begins to saddle Siroc]
It's over ten miles back.

[Perpetually stubborn, she is. But she still waits patiently, remembering to cover her mouth politely before she engages in any jaw-cracking yawns.]

You'll pass out long before we get there.

[She says, stubbornly, as she is already beginning to drowse again.]
'M just glad everything's...all right...now. [A languid pause, and then something occurs to her, belatedly.] Oh, you're older. It's that time again?
