wandbreaker: (Edmund - Caspian said whut?)

(no subject)

I have been pushed, pulled, and I think I was at one point inappropriately touched.

And I'm rather sure I did not 'ask for it,' as one lady so adamantly insisted. But, well.

Everyone else seems excited, who am I to rain on that parade?

Sorry. You...look a lot like someone I know.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
I always did like being a trendsetter.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Things usually do. That tends to be my job among my friends, making things work.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
I guess you could say I'm kind of a diplomat.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
Do you have something against princesses?

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it sounds better than saying I get around a lot.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
So you won't judge me if I make a double entendre that implies I'm a prostitute, but you're suspicious of me when I say I'm a diplomat because I might be a princess.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
No. Though one of my friends did try to trade me for a horse, once.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
No. Zack got me out of it.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
We didn't get the horse, either.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Only to satisfy my idiot friend's ego. He got it in his head that he wanted to be a cavalier or something and wouldn't shut up until he got his stupid horse.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
It got in the way more than anything else. He actually wanted to haul it all the way to--

[Pause.]

Everywhere we went.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
All over, yeah. That's what I do now, too. Professional hobo.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Vagrant? Wanderer? I'd go with tramp, but that's a little too punny, considering our previous discussions of my theoretical vocation.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I haven't seen any of them in a long time.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
And the second is figuring out where I am, so I can work on where I need to go.

[identity profile] razed-hell.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
I'm never anywhere for long.

Girls are mad, Edmund. Even a raised eyebrow could be seen as 'asking for it.'

There's a difference between keeping them at bay and scaring them, you realise.

Peter never scared me. And neither did you, for the record.

Or you could just say, "Wow, Ginny, you look great." I'll take that, too.

The older you get, the less compliments you're bound to receive.

[Have a dramatic pause, head turning ever so slightly away.]

It's just something I've got to get used to, I'm afraid. But not just yet. Not if I can help it.

[And then she grins at him.]

Oh, come now, Edmund. I was only joking.

[Her grin softens to a smile.]

It really is nice to see you again.
